Dr. Zandra Petway looks forward to expanding the health system’s occupational health capabilities throughout Kentucky. In her role, Dr. Petway performs annual physical exams for work, along with pre-employment, DOT and HazMat physicals. She treats on-the-job injuries such as repetitive-use injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and musculoskeletal sprains and strains.
During her training, she was fascinated with the idea of a medical clinic being located on the grounds of a manufacturing plant, and she liked making ergonomic recommendations to prevent musculoskeletal injuries.
Dr. Petway earned her medical degree and completed a residency in occupational medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville. She also holds master’s degrees in business administration and public health.
