Dr. EDNA TOKAYER, MD is a BOARD CERTIFIED ENDOCRINOLOGIST
Dr. Edna Tokayer established Elite Diabetes and Endocrine Specialists after working for several prestigious endocrine groups. She wanted to give patients a more intimate boutique experience. Dr. Tokayer was awarded Outstanding Physician by Boca Regional Hospital for her work in diabetes education and also focuses on thyroid and parathyroid disease, pituitary, adrenal, and metabolic disorders. She has been selected as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor by her peers. She’s joined by Dr. Angela Richter, Scott Shapiro, and nutritionist, Marcy Sloan, making the Elite Team a premier endocrine group.
She attended Barnard College, Columbia University for her undergraduate studies before meeting her husband, rheumatologist Dr. Amiel Tokayer, at SUNY Downstate Medical School.
