Mary Rosario, PMHNP-BC is an Italian and Irish descendant , born and raised in New York in the city of Manhattan.My first introduction to the study of psychology came when I was a freshman at Hunter college in New York City. At Hunter green, I obtained a bachelors of arts degree in psychology. This served as the foundation of my practice today. In my endeavor to help others heal, I went to study nursing earning an associate in applied science , a Bachelor of science in nursing and a masters of science specializing in Psychiatric mental health nursing.Specializing in Psychiatric mental health afforded me the opportunity to be board certified . Prior to this, I worked in medica surgery nursing, rehabilitation nursing, procedure prep nursing and educating nursing students. I worked as LPN instructor, registered nurse instructor and a preceptor to those pursuing RN, BSN and MSN in nursing. I was an instructor for mental health nursing foundation .I served on nurse councils, composed …curriculum guidelines and exams. I served as a site evaluator for Hillsborough county FEMA disaster drills for 3 consecutive years. With my vast experience, I bring sincere empathy and understanding to my role as a Psychiatric mental health Nurse Practitioner . On a personal note, I love to travel, sew, crochet, dance , sing and enjoy life.
