Rebecca Marie Grow

Growing up, many of my loved ones suffered from diseases that could be managed through diet. I explored the field of dietetics to learn how to help them (and others) live happier, healthier lives. I have also always loved food – I am a bit of a “foodie”. I love trying new foods and cooking new recipes. Becoming a dietitian was a perfect fit. I think every person is unique, and their care should be individualized to match their personal goals. I think it is helpful to build rapport and trust with patients so that they are willing to listen to any education/advice. I also love working as a team and believe the best care is provided in an interdisciplinary approach. I am very interested in diabetes management and would love to get my Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) designation in the next few years. Outside of work, I love to explore the state of North Carolina – as a new transplant there is so much to do and see. One of my favorite activities is exploring new restaurants with my …husband. Other than that, I like to take walks, read, watch crime shows, and play with my two cats (Kit and Koda).
