Christopher Viagrande MS, APRN, NPP-BCMY APPROACHI began my professional career roughly 15 years ago and my personal journey 40 years ago. The son of a very successful physician and first born in my family, I set out to make my own kingdom. At the age of 19 I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety and ADHD combined. I was treated with medications and talk therapy and eventually found this to be my calling. Fast forward I was stabilized and finished graduate school with a 4.0 GPA in 2010. I found along the way various providers whom I emulated and became mentors to me in my adult life and professional career. I learned insight into how and why I came to be as a person which gave me the tools to begin treating other people, the way I would want to be treated. I became very good at psychotropic medication management and can offer those in need almost immediate relief where warranted. To this day I offer the same access, insight and symptom relief that was offered to me so many years ago …and do such with passion!I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 13 years of clinical experience and 40 years personal experience in the field. I trained in the Yale Surgical ICU, giving me a sound foundation in internal medicine. I combine this with a specialization in psychopharmacology in my approach with clients.First, we’ll quickly get your symptoms under control with psychotropic medication management. Then, we will follow up with psychotherapy to get to the root cause of your symptoms, providing an understanding of the illness and how to retain that high quality of life you’ve always enjoyed.
