In order to consistently provide the highest quality of patient care, Dr. Khadavi makes it a priority to attend frequent medical education programs. These programs keep him update on the latest advancements within the medical field, which he then embodies in his own practice. His concern for the local community has also motivated him to participate in frequent education health fairs that provide detailed information about the causes and risks associated with allergens. Alan Khadavi, M.D., received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook, graduating magna cum laude. He was named a member of the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. He then graduated from medical school at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn.
Dr. Khadavi completed his pediatric residency at Schneider Children’s Hospital in New York, and then went on to complete his allergy and immunology fellowship at Long Island College Hospital. He is a pediatric allergy specialist, (pediatric allergist) by completing a pediatric residency and an allergy and immunology fellowship. He is board-certified in both adult and pediatric allergy/immunology. He has been cited in nationwide journals and has even participated in research and drug trials. He also teaches medical students and residents about current allergy care and treatment.Dr. Khadavi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, is both a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI); and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI). In 2015, Dr. Khadavi passed the American Board of Allergy & Immunology Maintenance of Certification examination. Exemplifying his continuous learning experience that serves as a public assurance of his qualification and dedication to the standards of care.
Dr. Khadavi, early in his career was named a Rising Star in the Los Angeles edition of Super Doctors in the field of Allergy and Immunology. He was also named Most Compassionate Doctor by the Patient Choice Awards. He was named to Castle Connolly’s list of Top Doctors. He was given the Vitals Patients’ Choice Award for physicians who provide excellent care and the On Time doctor award as well. Los Angeles Magazine recently named him a “Top Doc” as well.
