A. Stephen Malekzadeh, MD
Dr. Malekzadeh has been a member of Inova%u2019s orthopaedic trauma team since 2005. He earned his undergraduate degree at James Madison University and his medical degree at The George Washington University School of Medicine, where he also completed his orthopaedic surgery residency. Dr. Malekzadeh completed his advanced training in orthopaedic traumatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center%u2019s Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He has been active in research, publications and teaching. He is assistant professor of orthopaedics at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and a member of AO North America, which is an international group of orthopaedic traumatologists focused on teaching the basic and advanced principles of orthopaedic trauma surgery. Notably, he has co-authored a chapter on pelvic fracture surgery in a leading orthopaedic surgery textbook. He has specific interest in pelvic and acetabular surgery, minimally …invasive pelvic surgery, adult reconstruction and limb deformity correction. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association.
