Of all the fields in medicine, Gastroenterology appealed to me because of the numerous challenging diagnosis and wide array of therapeutic options. There are constant cutting edge innovations in endoscopic therapies. This is a field which provides ample opportunity for cancer screening and prevention which is a cause close to my heart. My special interests include colon cancer screening and prevention, treatment of Barretts esophagus, peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease, endoscopic ultrasound for diagnosis and staging of various GI cancers, ERCP for bile duct stones and biliary strictures, acute and chronic pancreatitis.”
