About Dr. Reddy
Ashwin Reddy, MD, is an experienced, board-certified physician who specializes in the treatment of opioid and alcohol use disorders. He offers his expertise and compassion to patients in Phoenix, Glendale, and Gilbert, Arizona, at 2nd Chance Treatment Center.
Dr. Reddy is dedicated to providing evidence-based treatments in an outpatient setting that result in long-lasting recovery with a low rate of relapse for men and women. He has extensive clinical experience with medication-assisted protocols for addiction.
As a researcher, Dr. Reddy co-authored a paper on synthetic cannabis and its link to psychosis in the American Journal of Addictions, and he presented the same findings at the 22nd Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has lectured in academic settings on the topics of opioid use and PTSD, “designer drugs,” and medical marijuana.
A native of Southern California, Dr. Reddy earned his undergraduate degree in …engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He then received his medical degree in general psychiatry from the Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Reddy completed his residency as well as a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at the Boston Medical Center.
Dr. Reddy is a member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. He is certified in addiction psychiatry and general psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
