I showed up in Dr. Meyer’s office convinced I’d need surgery after ‘The Great Pickleball Incident of 2023’ (don’t ask). He took one look at my MRI, laughed and said ‘Nice try, but we’re not cutting you open for this.’ Three months of his PT plan instead – which he demonstrated himself while mocking my terrible form – and I’m back on the court.
What sets him apart? He actually listens when you describe your pain. When I said ‘It burns like I sat on a curling iron,’ he nodded seriously instead of brushing it off. His team is fantastic too – the cast tech remembered I’m claustrophobic and talked me through every step when I needed a wrist brace.
Six specialists later (I’m stubborn), he’s the only one who fixed my shoulder without emptying my savings. Worth every penny of the out-of-network fees.
