Dr. Carlos A. Osmon, MD

Dr. Osmon is a native of Argentina where in June 968 he received his medical degree at La Plata Medical School, University of La Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Between July 1968 and June 1971, Dr. Osmon acted as junior and senior house physician in internal medicine at the Regional Hospital of Mar Del Plata in Buenos Aires. In July 1971, Dr. Osmon came to the United States to continue his studies in medicine as an Oncology Research Fellow and Rotating Resident at Tufts Oncology Unit (Boston, Massachusetts) serving at Pondville Hospital in Walpole, Massachusetts. In July 1972, Dr. Osmon transferred as a junior and senior resident and teaching fellow in internal medicine to Brown University, School of Medicine primarily at Roger Williams General Hospital in Providence, R.I,
Dr. Osmon went on to complete his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University, School of Medicine in Atlanta. Upon completion of his fellowship in June 1976, Dr. Osmon went into private …practice now recognized as Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers, P.C., at Wellstar Cobb Hospital where he currently evaluates and treats patients while actively participating in Clinical Trials and Research as well. Dr. Osmon has served as chairman of many committees at local hospitals including WellStar Cobb and WellStar Kennestone. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, the ACP, the American Society of Hematology, and Cobb County Medical Society. Dr. Osmon is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology.
