Dr. Chavez has been practicing medicine since 1983 and was board certified in Ophthalmology in 1986. Dr. Chavez received his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1977. He served his internship specializing in Rotating at Kaiser Hospital in Fontana and served his residency specializing in Ophthalmology at the University of Arizona Health Science Center.
Dr. Chavez trained at the Jules Stein Eye Institue
from 1983-1985 and was Chief of Comprehensive Ophthalmology at the UCLA department of ophthalmolgy
from 1985 to 1988. He entered private practice in late 1988.
