We are at capacity and accepting new patients starting Summer 2024
“A good physician treats the disease. A great physician treats the patient who has the disease”
Dr. Daniela Gamboa believes in partnering with the patient towards a common goal of achieving physical and psychological well-being through patient education and empowerment.
Dr. Gamboa received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Universidad Privada del Valle in Bolivia in 2002 and completed her Family Medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, Texas in 2010.
After finishing her residency she joined the Faculty at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center as an Assistant Professor where she was actively involved in clinical research and enjoyed teaching as well as working with residents. During that time she also worked at the Center for Women’s Health and Gender Based Medicine.
Later on, Dr. Gamboa relocated to the DFW Metroplex area where she was appointed Assistant Professor at …the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center and completed a Faculty Development Fellowship at the same teaching institution. After her son was born she decided to practice medicine in a private setting and joined Your Clinic.
Following her passion for teaching, she joined the UTSW Family Medicine Department where she was appointed Assistant Professor.
Currently she is working part time at UTSW outpatient clinics where she supervises residents and medical students.
While taking care of patients with multiple chronic diseases, Dr. Gamboa also recognized the need to help those who were struggling with their weight and decided to become certified in obesity medicine. Being a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine has given her the tools and knowledge to help her patients lose their weight, regain control and improve their quality of life.
After  her second child was born, Dr. Gamboa decided to open her own practice Elite Care Clinic with the vision of reviving the physician-patient relationship which sometimes can be lost due to the complexities of our health system.
Her goal is to provide personalized care, while at the same time, promoting a healthy lifestyle in a warm and welcoming environment.
She is Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has a passion for Women’s Health, dermatology and office-based procedures. Dr. Gamboa plans to incorporate aesthetics to her practice in the near future.
In her free time Dr. Gamboa enjoys spending time with her husband and sons. Her interests include cooking, baking, bike riding and playing tennis.
