A pioneer in the robotic approach to urological cancer treatment, Dr. David G. Hesse specializes in minimally invasive surgery. Serving on the national proctor panel for robotic surgery, Dr. Hesse is a mentor and teacher for fellow urologists in the field of robotic surgery. With extensive experience in urological cancer treatment, Dr. Hesse utilizes state-of-the art surgical techniques that include nerve sparing radical prostate surgery and creating artificial bladders after radical bladder surgery.
Board-certified by the American Urological Association, Dr. Hesse has privileges at both Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Hospital of Saint Raphael.
Dr. Hesse graduated cum laude from Brandeis University in Massachusetts and received his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, where he was honored with the highest scholastic award, the Faculty Award for Excellence. His residency in urology was performed at The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and The …New York Hospital – Cornell Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident.
Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dr. David G. Hesse resides in Branford with his wife and three children.
