Dr. David Lutz received his medical degree and graduated with academic honors from the Brody School of Medicine, part of the University of North Carolina Health System in Greenville, NC. His undergraduate degree was earned in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Lutz finished his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Brody School of Medicine, where he was also chief resident. In addition, he completed postgraduate work at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Lutz is double board certified in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and in the field of Pain Medicine. Dr. Lutz is also on the Original Board Directors of The Indiana Pain Society.
Dr. Lutz treats patients at the Fort Wayne Neurological Center; Lutheran Campus and Parkview Campus, as well as Wabash County Hospital, Dupont Hospital, and Premier Surgery Center …of Parkview. Dr. Lutz%u2019s practice focuses on the non-surgical care of the spine, pain, and musculoskeletal problems. His goal is to maximize the patient%u2019s level of function and minimize pain through non-surgical means. This approach uses therapies, medications, and injections when necessary. Dr. Lutz also specializes in electromyography/nerve conduction study (EMG) testing to determine whether nerve or muscle injury is present.
