Ob-gyn is the happiest specialty. Babies are great. It is a privilege to be involved with families in the happiest time of their lives. Also, my gynecology patients are nice. Because I am a woman, it is fun to meet people who are dealing with the same things I deal with in my life. In general, life is so stressful. So it is fun to find joy with new lives. Now that I am 50 years old, with a family of my own, and being close to my parents and grandparents, I feel I can relate to almost anything my patients are going through. I enjoy the long-term relationships with my patients, some of whom I met in 1989. In fact, I practice in the same town I grew up in. Some of my patients are my grade-school (Fairmount) teachers, my high-school (Downers Grove South) teachers or people from my church, St. Andrews Episcopal, which I have attended since 1967. I am friendly, personable, down-to-earth and gentle. I hope to give my patients state-of-the-art care in a warm and friendly setting. …I try to follow the Golden Rule.
