In 2008, she returned to college to become a nurse, and worked at the bedside on a variety of units. In 2018, she completed her MSN program with honors at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Elizabeth serves or has served as an advisory board member for Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, the Kansas chapter of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, as well as the Legislative Committee of the Kansas State Nurses Association.
