Born in London and raised in Nigeria, Dr. Eno Nsima-Obot has over 30 years of clinical experience. She graduated in 1987 as one of the top ten graduating students from the University of Calabar, Nigeria, with several awards. When she worked as a primary care physician with a large multi-specialty group in the greaterChicago area, she was a recipient of the quarterly award for compassion. She is passionate about empowering patients to actively engage in their healthcare. This motivated her to train as a professional life coach through an ICF (International Coach Federation) certified program (Accomplishment Coaching) in 2010.This skill has enabled her to have more in-depth and meaningful conversations, even in her everyday encounters.She is an award-winning author of a book for people living with type 2 diabetes entitled, “Dr. Eno’s A-to-Z Guide to Thriving with Type 2 Diabetes” She describes herself as a lifelong learner and has always been passionate about exploring and sharing ways …to create and promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle.She describes herself as a ‘Thrivor’; after a brief brush with cancer several years ago. Following that, she made a personal commitment to more closely & ‘walk her talk.This led her to discover the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM). Delighted that she had finally found her tribe, she completed the intense certification program and, in 2019, became one under 2000 certified practitioners worldwide.She is committed to working with women, particularly those over fifty as well as patients living with chronic illness, to optimize their health and well-being so that they can experience wholesome lives and fulfill their purpose on the planet.
