Dr. Esther Maksymovitch Penn, MD

Esther Penn, M.D., a board-certified Ophthalmologist, joined the Eye Care Institute in 2014. Dr. Penn graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville in 1998, and completed a transitional internship at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver. She completed her ophthalmologist residency at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor, where she received the Walter Parker Resident Teaching Award.
Dr. Penn worked at the Henry Ford Health System in the Detroit area for one year before moving to California in 2003, where she practiced at Kaiser Santa Rosa, Kaiser Petaluma/San Rafael, and Eye Associates of Sebastopol.
Specializing in the field of Ophthalmology, Dr. Penn is prepared to diagnose, treat, and perform various types of surgeries for diseases, injuries, or trauma of the eye. Dr. Penn may treat disorders such as glaucoma, corneal tumors, cataracts, retinal disorders, conjunctivitis, astigmatism and ocular tumors, among others.
