Dr. Folusho Stephen Tugbiyele, MD

Dr. Tugbiyele is an accomplished, highly skilled urogynecologic surgeon specializing in all aspects of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. He has more than 19 years of experience in pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, fecal incontinence, recurrent urinary tract infections, pelvic pain, and minimally invasive pelvic floor robotic and vaginal surgery. Dr. Tugbiyele completed his residency training at New York University Medical Center. He completed his fellowship training at the combined Greater Baltimore Medical Center/University of Maryland School of Medicine program. Dr. Tugbiyele was recruited from the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania where he was the Chief of Urogynecology and pioneered the robotic surgery program in Urogynecology. He is double board certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery; as well as obstetrics and gynecology. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education/City …College of New York in 1998.
Through the years, Dr. Tugbiyele has a developed a keen understanding and respect for women and the roles they play in the family as a caregiver and networker. When a woman suffers from medical problems related to her pelvic floor, it affects all aspects of her life. She may feel embarrassed by her problem and requires a doctor who listens patiently and compassionately.
