Genevieve Egnatios, MD, FAAD was born and raised in Los Angeles, but decided that she wanted to explore the world outside of California and journeyed to Boston after high school to attend Wellesley College. After graduating with a double major in Physics and Economics, she spent over a decade working at start-up customer relationship management companies in the software industry, riding the dotcom boom and bust before matriculating at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.Even as a first year medical student, she had a passion for skin and founded the dermatology club as a forum for all interested in that field. She was awarded entrance to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as a third year student and as a fourth year student, matched at Mayo Clinic Arizona for internship and dermatology residency which brought her to Arizona with her family. Dr. Egnatios was privileged to train with world renowned dermatologists at Mayo Clinic and served as chief resident in …her final year. Upon graduation, she worked at a group private practice for one year prior to moving to Danville, Pennsylvania where she completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at Geisinger Medical Center. She maintains board certification in both dermatology and dermatopathology.Before founding Scottsdale Skin Boutique & Dermatology, Dr. Egnatios enjoyed working at a large group private practice affiliated with HonorHealth healthcare system. She was instrumental in obtaining Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) certification for the residency program as its Associate Program Director, facilitating the training of new dermatologists.At Scottsdale Skin Boutique & Dermatology, her mission is to create a caring, professional patient-centric experience and deliver highly competent care that is timely and tailored to individualized needs.Professional affiliations include: the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and American Medical Association. Her interests span general and procedural dermatology, Mohs surgery, and hair and nail disorders. Dr. Egnatios lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband and three children. When she is not working, her favorite pastime is spending time with them and her extended family who also now reside in Scottsdale.
