Dr. George Ernest Loss, MD

Dr. Veronica Gillispie earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee in 2004. She went on to complete her residency training at Ochsner Health System in 2008. During her training, Dr. Gillispie served as Administrative Chief Resident. She also received many accolades during her matriculation including Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures and the 2008 Alton Ochsner Resident Leader of the Year. Dr. Gillispie is involved in several community and medical societies. She has served as the Louisiana Section Junior Fellow Vice-Chair and Chair for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). She currently serves as a member of the Committee on Healthcare for Underserved Women for ACOG.
Dr. Gillispie provides care to low and moderate risk obstetric patients as well as gynecology patients of all ages, especially adolescents. Dr. Gillispie has a special interest in advanced laparoscopic procedures including total laparoscopic …hysterectomies, laparoscopic adnexal surgery, hysteroscopic procedures, and office surgical procedures.
Dr. Gillispie is both very dedicated and passionate about education. She serves as the Assistant Program Director for the OB/GYN Residency program and is the Program Director for Obstetrics and Gynecology for The Ochsner Clinical School/University of Queensland, Australia. Dr. Gillispie practices at the Ochsner Baptist uptown location, the Ochsner Metairie location, as well as Ochsner Health System, Main Campus.
