Gerard D. DĂ¢â‚¬â„¢Ariano, MD is a board certified Orthopedic surgeon and a fellowship trained Spinal Surgeon. His undergraduate education was completed at Boston College with a B.S. in Biology. He graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude, and as a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society. He then attended New York Medical College and graduated with honors, being elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor society in his junior year. Additionally, he was awarded the New York Medical College Trustee Scholarship.
Dr. DĂ¢â‚¬â„¢Ariano then completed a 1 year surgical internship and a 4 year Orthopedic Surgery Residency at New York University. During his training he was influenced by the strong Spine surgery and Neurosurgery program and decided to pursue advanced training in spine surgery. For this he traveled to Baltimore, and completed a 1 year fellowship in advanced reconstructive spinal surgery at the world renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital.
During his training, he authored …a book chapter on spinal surgery and gave presentations at the community and national levels.
His practice now utilizes up-to-date, non-surgical pain management modalities as well as minimally invasive spinal surgery, when possible, to treat a wide array of disorders involving the neck and back. This includes treatment of low back and neck pain, cervical radiculopathy, lumbar herniated discs and sciatica, compression fractures, tumors, spondylolisthesis and spinal stenosis.
