Gina Marie Matacia, MD graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2006. She completed her internal medicine residency in 2009, and subsequently completed her fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology in 2012 from the University Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. She was raised on the west side of Cincinnati where she practiced with TriHealth until moving her practice to the Bethesda North area in 2015. She has a special interest in cancers of the gastrointestinal tract and participates in the Gastrointestinal Multidisciplinary Clinic weekly with other specialist to provide the most up to date and tailored care to her patients. She was also a founding member of the High Risk Hereditary Clinic where patients with genetic predispositions to cancer (BRCA gene mutations, Lynch Syndrome, etc) are seen by several specialists at the same visit to create a surveillance plan to meet their needs.Dr. Matacia is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical …Oncology.
