Dr. Helen Elena Elena Emegbagha

Elena is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is fluent in Spanish and is passionate about providing in-depth evaluation and treatment which includes medication management for young and older adults. She has ongoing experience in family practice and as a behavioral health specialist. With ongoing work in pain management, she understands the impact of chronic pain and risk factors associated with mental health, including but not limited to anxiety, substance use disorders, and depression. Elena completed her Master’s in Nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Maryville University. After working in the field for a few years as a pain management specialist, she understood the need for integrative care in the treatment of underlying psychiatric conditions to improve pain outcomes. She …returned back to Maryville University for a Post-Master’s Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Partitioner. Elena’s approach is holistic in nature, keeping an open mind and actively listening to your needs, fears, and past experiences. She utilizes evidence-based practices in collaboration with a healthcare team to help you meet your desired goals.
