Dr. Matino has been in private practice as a double-boarded general and colon & rectal surgeon at Saint Francis since 1982. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind., and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Piscataway, N.J. His general surgical training was at Saint Francis and his colon and rectal fellowship took place at SUNY at Buffalo.
Dr. Matino is a member of Minimally Invasive Surgeons, a group surgical practice. At Saint Francis, he works with an accomplished team of hospital-based physician assistants. He is actively involved in clinical research as the principle investigator of a study of a new surgical treatment for pilonidal sinus.
He has served on numerous hospital committees and he is currently on the board of directors of the Saint Francis Physician Hospital Organization (PHO).
