Jeffrey A. Krempec, M.D. comes to DFP Orthopaedics as a fellowship trained hip and knee surgeon specializing in joint preservation, resurfacing, replacement, and revision. He has expertise in treating young adults with hip disorders such as labral tears, femoroacetabular impingement, and hip dysplasia with techniques like hip arthroscopy, surgical dislocation, and periacetabular osteotomy. Once the joints have developed arthritis, Dr. Krempec specializes in hip resurfacing and total hip replacement, as well as partial and total knee replacement.
He has had fellowship training in total joint revision: surgery performed when joint replacements have worn out, failed, or become infected. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, MI and subsequently completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He then went on to sub-speciality fellowship training, graduating from Washington University …Orthopaedics at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He has written several book chapters on joint replacement and hip joint preservation. He accepts transfer of complex hip and knee cases from outlying hospitals without joint replacement expertise.
