Dr. Bennett joined the staff at Christiana Care’s Helen F. Graham Cancer Center in 2005, following his completion of a two-year clinical fellowship in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He had completed a two-year research fellowship at the same institution inin 2000. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Bennett received his medical degree and graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York Health Sciences at Brooklyn (SUNY HSCB) in 1996. He received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with honors at Colgate University, Hamilton, NY in 1992.
While studying at SUNY HSCB, he received an Endowed Honor Scholarship Award for superb performance during all four years of medical school, and he also was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Bennett is currently a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of …Surgical Oncology.
