Joseph W. Fay, M.D. specializes in blood and marrow transplantation. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in hematology and oncology. Dr. Fay started the bone marrow transplantation program at Duke University in 1977 sponsored, in part, by the National Cancer Institute. In 1982, Dr. Fay was recruited to the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center at Baylor, Dallas. He has been the principal investigator for more than 80 clinical trials and has authored or co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications. He is currently the principal investigator of several clinical trials of dendritic cell biology and immunotherapy sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. Formerly, he was assistant professor of medicine, Duke University Medical Center, and currently is clinical professor of medicine, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas.
