Dr. Julius David Cheng, MD

Dr. Julius Cheng is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Prior to coming to Rochester, Dr. Cheng completed a trauma/surgical critical-care fellowship at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center of the University of Maryland Medical System, in Baltimore. , he earned his Master’s in Public Health at the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. Prior to his training in Baltimore, Dr. Cheng completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School, Newark, N.J. Dr. Cheng earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and did his undergraduate work at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Cheng is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, The Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Medical Association.
