Dr. Justin David Braverman, MD

Dr. Justin D. Braverman, a pioneering expert in minimally invasive weight loss, was the first surgeon in North America to place the new ReShape Duo® Gastric Balloon, and was one of the first surgeons in the country to perform the incisionless ROSE procedure. Dr. Braverman has performed more than 3000 laparoscopic and endoscopic bariatric procedures, and has performed robotic bariatric surgery, with one of the country’s lowest complication rates and outstanding success.
Dr. Braverman earned both his Master’s degree in physiology and his Medical Doctorate from the Chicago Medical School. He completed his residency as the administrative Chief Resident at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago, he joined Dr. Quebbemann at The N.E.W. Program in 2006 in order to specialize in bariatric surgery.
Dr. Braverman is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, a member of the American Medical Association, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American …College of Surgeons. He has been certified as a Surgeon of Excellence in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation and is a Fellow of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
