“Out of the different subspecialties in Internal Medicine, I wanted to pursue a future in Gastroenterology because it combined direct patient care with the technical challenges of endoscopy. The variety of cases and people that I get to treat in a clinic setting is satisfying and continues to keep the field fresh, so that I have a desire to continue learning. My main focus is general Gastroenterology including colon cancer prevention and GERD. I place a priority in providing quality care and an overall good patient experience. My chief residency during Internal Medicine training at UT Southwestern was a special honor which allowed me to work very closely with some amazing physicians who served as excellent mentors. I was able to present key research regarding improvements in colonoscopy at the national meeting during my last year of Gastroenterology fellowship. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, run, cycle, and try different restaurants in the DFW metroplex. As a …family, we love to be active and travel.
