Leon Cushenberry, MD Leon Cushenberry is a Psychiatrist in Pennsylvania who has been practicing since 2018. He completed medical school at the University of California, Davis and psychiatry residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Afterwards, he completed additional training at the University of Pennsylvania as a Public Psychiatry Fellow which allowed him to understand the impact of an individual’s community and social factors on their lived experiences. Leon’s psychiatric services include a range of mental health challenges and working within complex systems to coordinate patient-centered and recovery-oriented care. He completed the National Clinician Scholars Program at the University of Pennsylvania where he conducted qualitative research related to race-based stress and intersections of oppression. Leon understands that his patients have multiple and different interactions within their lived experiences.
