Dr. Leonard Joseph Caputo, MD

Dr. Leonard J. Caputo is the founder and Medical Director for the Asthma and Allergy Institute which has existed in Mobile since 1994. Prior to founding AAI, Dr. Caputo has served the Mobile and Baldwin counties as a private practice physician since 1978. Dr. Caputo received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from Florida Atlantic University. He received his medical training at the University of Miami school of Medicine where he completed his residency and internship in Pediatrics and completed fellowship training in Allergy at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Caputo is a Diplomate of the American Board of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology and Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and is also a Certified Research Investigator.
