Dr. Katolik, a Philadelphia native, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with his B.A. in International Relations. He then went on to earn his M.D., with honors, at Hahnemann University School of Medicine where he also completed his internship in general surgery. Interested in pursuing a career that combined Orthopaedic practice and teaching, he completed his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He was accepted into the Hand and Microvascular Surgery Fellowship Program at the University of Washington in Seattle. From 2004 thru 2007, Dr. Katolik was Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and adjunct assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University Of Washington School Of Medicine. Upon returning to Philadelphia he has been Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine and hold additional faculty appointments including, AO North America, an international …organization dedicated to the advancement of Orthopaedic trauma care.
