Dr. Lew Schon, M.D. is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in disorders of the foot and ankle for thirty three years. He is at New York University Langone (NYU) where he is Clinical Prof of Orthopaedics. He is also practicing at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore MD where he is director of Orthopaedic Innovation for the department of Orthopaedics and member of the Institute of Foot and Ankle Reconstruction.   He is active in the Foot & Ankle programs at Mercy, NYU, University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins.
Innovations
He is a co- inventor of several devices including the ZimmerBiomet TM Ankle Replacement and the Enovis Aircast Airlift brace, the Arthrex ProStop, Darco’s Toe Guard and Pneumatic Night Splint.  Clinical studies, biomechanics and orthobiologic research have resulted in over two hundred peer-reviewed papers and over hundred other publications.
