Dr. Lillian Cole is an adult psychiatrist who completed her undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She earned both her master’s in biomedical sciences and medical degree at Texas Tech University. She completed her psychiatry residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where she was exposed to patient populations that were ethnoculturally, socioeconomically, and clinically diverse.
Dr. Cole places great value on fostering the doctor-patient relationship and believes that listening, collaboration, and compassion are the key components to championing a patient toward recovery. She focuses on a holistic approach that integrates evidence-based medicine with assessments of the whole individual, to deliver patient-centered care aimed at improving overall well-being.
Dr. Cole provides psychiatric medication management and has gained extensive training in caring for a wide array of diagnoses including but not limited to mood …disorders, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and substance use disorders. She incorporates psychotherapeutic techniques, lifestyle interventions, and psychoeducation. When additional therapy is indicated to produce the best outcome, Dr. Cole may recommend that her patients work with a therapist as part of the treatment plan.
