Dr. Makoto Ogihara joined Surgical Associates in July 2007 after the completion of his fellowship in transplant surgery at Stanford University Medical Center. In addition to transplant surgery, Dr. Ogihara also performs general surgery procedures. Having trained at the University of Hawaii, Dr. Ogihara is familiar with practicing medicine in the islands and many of the local hospitals. Born and raised in Japan, Dr. Ogihara is fluent in the Japanese language.
