Dr. Hoffman completed his training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at St. Louis University, a large liver center. Dr. Hoffman gained experience in managing all forms of liver disease. His experience in liver transplantation led him to a position on Hartford Hospital’s liver transplant team. In addition, he has special expertise and experience with Hepatitis C which he gained under the direction of Adrian DiBiscegia, MD and Bruce Bacon, MD.
His training at St. Louis University was truly diverse, as he received extra training from Charlene Prather, MD in esophageal and ano-rectal manometry, as well as pH testing. Dr. Hoffman is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Hoffman also holds certification in Hepatology. His practice is limited to gastroenterology with special interests in inflammatory bowel disease, motility disorders, liver disease, transplantation and general gastroenterology.
