Dr. Byington is an Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures for the Shoulder, Elbow and Knee. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine / arthroscopy at the world renown Orthopaedic Research of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. He completed residency in orthopedic surgery at Michigan State University and medical school at Midwestern University in Chicago, IL.
Born and raised in Lincoln, NE, he received his undergraduate degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University where he was a 3 time NCAA / NAIA National Champion and All-American in the 800 meter run in rack and field. As a world class athlete, he trained for the Olympics with the world famous Santa Monica Track Club (9 time Olympic Gold Medalist, Carl Lewis, being its most prestigious alum).
