Dr. Mehr Karamat is a Board Certified General Adult Psychiatrist who is also Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C). She was born and raised in California and trained in the Midwest at the Hennepin-Regions Psychiatry training program in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. Since she graduated from residency in 2015, she has practiced in both states and has served as a faculty member at psychiatry residency programs at both her training institution, Hennepin County Medical Center in MN as well as at UCLA-Kern Medical Center in CA before venturing out into private practice with a special focus on women’s mental health.Affiliations: Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) – Postpartum Support International, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program (PPTP) – Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (MPSI)Dr. Karamat does not prescribe any controlled medications (stimulants, benzodizapines, narcotics, etc) as her practice is only online and there are regulatory requirements …in place which require patients to be seen in person at certain intervals while being prescribed controlled medications.Perinatal Psychiatric WellnessWe provide online mental health services for women and men across their lifespan, although we specialize in treating women in the perinatal period.
