Dr. Katsnelson completed his undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University and attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine. He subsequently trained in Neurology at Hahnemann Hospital/Drexel University and then completed his fellowship in Cerebrovascular Diseases at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami. He is board certified in Neurology and has been at the University of Miami, Department of Neurology Cerebrovascular Division since 2010. Dr. Katsnelson is an Instructor of Neurology and the Director of Stroke Services at University of Miami Hospital. Dr. Katsnelson’s practice involves acute stroke therapy, primary and secondary stroke prevention and general neurology. He also has interests in neurosonology and his current research interests include genetics of stroke, neurosonology and cerebral vessel reactivity.
