Dr. Michael Paul Kahky, MD

Michael P. Kahky, MD, is the team leader for Breast Cancer Surgical Oncology at MD Anderson – Orlando. He received his medical degree from SUNY-Downstate Medical Center in New York City. He is board certified in general surgery. He completed his surgical oncology fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and his surgical residency at State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center Department of Surgery. Dr. Kahky has been the assistant chief at the Orlando Cancer Center Department of Surgery, junior faculty associate at MD Anderson in Houston, assistant instructor at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Department of Surgery and a clinical assistant Instructor at SUNY-Downstate Medical Center Department of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract and the American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association. …Dr. Kahky has published a number of articles on the effects of human liver natural killer cells on cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as articles on Paget’s disease of the breast, melanoma and thyroid surgery.
