Dr. Karuvannur (Dr. K) is a Psychiatrist in Ohio who has been practicing since 2018. He is dual board certified in both child/adolescent and adult psychiatry. He trained in adult psychiatry at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY where he served as the education committee representative. He completed his child & adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Cleveland Clinic where he served as chief fellow. He is a member of the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, and the Ohio Psychiatric Physician’s Association. Dr. K has a passion for medical education and had a significant role in educating medical students, residents, and fellows. He has won various awards for his academic accomplishments. He has lectured on various topics including but not limited to pediatric psychosis, eating disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, OCD, psychopharmacology, and neuropsychiatry. Dr. K enjoys working with all ages but takes particular interest in …working with children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with mental health since he recognizes that exposure to trauma in early years often manifests as dysfunction in adulthood. He aims to take a holistic approach to patient care and highly emphasizes self-care and family input when formulating treatment plans. Additionally, he takes particular interest in nutrition and exercise and the positive effects that they have on mental health. In his spare time, Dr. K enjoys snowboarding, world travel, hiking, weightlifting, and cooking.
