Dr. O. Atilla Onan is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in practice since 2002. He is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon practicing at the Northwest Austin, South Austin, and Marble Falls offices of Texas Orthopedics.
Dr. Onan received his bachelor of arts degree in biology with the highest honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991. In 1995 he received his medical degree with honors from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed his general surgery residency and orthopaedic residency at Baylor College of Medicine, follwed by fellowship training in spine surgery in Seattle, Washington with Drs. Ted Wagner, Ken Leung, Jeff Garr, and Mark Dales.
Dr. Onan moved to Austin and began practicing at Brackenridge Hospital in 2002. Soon thereafter he joined the Central Texas Spine Institute and remained on staff until 2015 when he joined Texas Orthopedics, Sports & Rehabilitation Associates.
In 2005, Dr. Onan achieved board certification by the American Board …of Orthopaedic Surgery. In 2008, he was appointed clinical assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas.
