Dr. Chimata is Board Certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. She did her residency at the University of Illinois – Chicago and her fellowship in Rheumatology and Geriatric-Rheumatology at Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis.
Dr. Chimata is a Sub-investigator for Southwest Memorial Research Center where clinical trials were done for RA, fibromyalgia and other diseases. She is co-author of various articles in her field. Also, she was an investigator in many research projects during her fellowship including drug trials.
She has volunteered her time to different causes. She has worked with World Health Organization to fight Polio and TB in India.
