Dr. Pedro Gonzalez has been on staff at Broward Health Medical Center since 1997. Dr. Gonzalez completed his undergraduate work and his medical degree at the University of Miami. He received a bachelors degree in psychology in 1984 and his doctor of medicine in 1989. He completed a surgical internship, surgical residency and trauma surgery fellowship at the Martin Luther King, Jr./Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles. He then completed a surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Maryland/RD Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Dr. Gonzalez is board certified in general surgery and in surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the Florida Medical Association, the Broward County Medical Association, the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the American …College of Surgeons, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the Fort Lauderdale Surgical Society. His practice is located in Fort Lauderdale.
