Punya Raman, M.D. is a board-certified family doctor and bariatric physician with over 30 years of clinical experience.Born in India and trained in general surgery, she eventually brought her talents to the U.S. in 2000, where she pursued family medicine and started a family. Today she lives with her husband Chad and their dog Steve in Gilbert, AZ. She enjoys hiking, running, cooking, and Overlanding. Her bucket list includes hiking Mount Everest and traveling the world.Since 2011, she has served as AVISTA’s medical director. Her drive and ongoing education keep her sharp and ahead of the curve.
