Dr. Wright considers leadership and community service as the cornerstone of his personal and professional life. His practice focuses on general neurological disorders with a special interest in Epilepsy, Storke and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Wright medical training began at Emory University School of Medicine. He then completed this Neurology Residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident his last year. He then completed a Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology and Sleep Medicine, while also working as a Staff Neurologist at the Houston VA and serving as Co-Director of the Baylor Neurology Student Clerkship. Dr. Wright is the Medical Director of the Conroe Regional Medical Center Stroke Program. His success was noted and in 2009, he was recruited to start a Stroke Program at St. Luke’s Community Hospital in The Woodlands. Dr. Wright’s community leadership is also evident in his involvement with the American Heart Association, where he is currently serving a …second term as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Montgomery County. In addition to his local involvement, Dr. Wright also sits on the Texas State Advocacy committee, and serves as a liaison member of the South Central Affiliate of the American Heart Association. Nationally, he works with Washington, DC Affiliates of the AHA to serve as a voice to our U.S. Congress members in regards to healthy policy. He has also served as Chair of the African-American Outreach Task Force since 2006 and has been a PTES Ambassador since the inception of the campaign. He appeared on the local television talk show Great Day Houston and spoke about the signs and symptoms of stroke. He was recognized nationally by the American Heart Association as an outstanding member of the South Central Affiliate.
