Dr. Richard Carlton Pennell, MD

Dr. Pennell practices at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis. The hospital has a new state of the art endovascular surgery facility which will allow complex vascular procedures to be done with the latest minimally invasive techniques. Patients requiring open vascular procedures will have access to equally up to date operating facilities.
Dr. Pennell trained in General Surgery at St. Louis University Hospital and finished in 1984. He completed a 2 yr. fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Mayo Clinic in 1986. Since then he has been in practice in St. Louis. He is board certified in both general and vascular surgery. He has completed supplemental training in endovascular over the last 2 years. He is the current President of the St. Louis Vascular Society.
